С 2006 года Православный Свято-Тихоновский гуманитарный университет реализует просветительскую программу предметных олимпиад и творческих конкурсов для учащихся государственных, муниципальных и негосударственных учреждений общего среднего образования.
Программа нацелена на выявление талантливых и одаренных школьников, их поддержку в дальнейшем профессиональном становлении и духовно-нравственном развитии.
В настоящее время в систему конкурсов входят:
Общероссийская олимпиада школьников по Основам православной культуры «Русь святая, Храни веру Православную!» (ОПК)
Открытая всероссийская интеллектуальная олимпиада «Наше наследие» (ОВИО)
Многопрофильная предметная олимпиада ПСТГУ «Аксиос» (Аксиос)
Фестиваль детско-юношеских хоров «Пою Богу моему, дондеже есмь» (Хоры)
Общероссийский конкурс – фестиваль школьных СМИ «Единство» (ШСМИ)
Каждый из названных конкурсов адресован определенной школьной аудитории и в каждом из них участвуют тысячи учащихся.
Координацией всех конкурсов занимается одна команда и единый интернет-портал, который является единым стартовым центром. Со страницы этого портала можно попасть на персональный сайт каждого конкурса и посмотреть заголовки последних новостей со страниц всех конкурсов.
На сегодняшний день для олимпиад ОВИО и ОПК реализован единый личный кабинет и регистрация на сайте (в течение года в эту систему будут подключены остальные конкурсы).
Общероссийская олимпиада школьников по Основам православной культуры в Удмуртской Республике проводится Отделом религиозного образования и катехизации Ижевской и Удмуртской Епархии и Министерством образования и науки Удмуртской Республики.
